TATTOO AFTERCARE
First Few Days
The following 2 weeks
SECOND SKIN AFTERCARE

1. Keep the second skin on for 3-4 days following your appointment. t’s normal to see some liquid accumulating underneath the second skin. If you notice any liquid leaking out, you should remove the second skin. If not, keep it on for the full 3-4 days.

2. If you experience any irritation from the second skin, remove it immediately.

3. Try to avoid sweating while the second skin is in place.

4. Sometimes, the second skin may not adhere well to certain areas. If it starts to come off before the 4 days are up, don’t worry. Just follow the remaining aftercare steps as outlined here.

5. When it's time to remove the second skin, do so in the shower or under running water to wash your tattoo. Peel the second skin off slowly, allowing warm water to help lift it away.

6. Gently cleanse your tattoo with a mild, fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water.
Make sure to remove any excess ink and plasma.

7. Pat the tattoo dry with a soft towel. Avoid rubbing to ensure you don’t irritate the fresh tattoo.
Keep Your Tattoo Clean: Wash your tattoo daily with a mild soap and water. Gently pat it dry with a clean towel.

Apply Aftercare Product: Use an aftercare product or unscented lotion to keep your tattoo moisturized. Remember, a small amount is sufficient; avoid applying too much.

Avoid Sun Exposure: Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight. Do not use sunscreen on the tattoo while it’s healing.

Avoid Scratching or Picking: Do not scratch or pick at your tattoo, as this can cause scarring and increase the risk of infection.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help keep your skin hydrated from within.

Avoid Soaking: Stay away from swimming pools, hot tubs, and baths until your tattoo has fully healed to prevent potential infections.

Limit Intense Exercise: Avoid strenuous exercise in the initial days after getting your tattoo, as excessive sweating and friction can irritate the area and slow down the healing process.

Watch for Signs of Infection: Monitor your tattoo for any signs of infection, such as increased redness, swelling, warmth, or unusual discharge. If you notice any of these symptoms, consult your tattoo artist or a healthcare professional immediately.

Be Patient: Healing takes time. Allow your tattoo to heal naturally and resist the urge to interfere with the process.
